We were thrilled to work with Kidney Health New Zealand (KHNZ) on a vital brand refresh, creating a modern, dynamic identity that truly reflects their mission. KHNZ is the national voice for kidney patients in Aotearoa, championing prevention, education, and support to improve health outcomes across the country. Our goal was to move them from a traditional clinical look to a single, welcoming identity that feels culturally inclusive and genuinely connected to the people they serve.

Bringing the new identity to life across a wide range of touchpoints, ensuring consistency, accessibility, and connection at every stage of the journey.
The whole brand identity reflects connection and flow symbolising the continuous support, guidance, and education KHNZ provides to people managing their kidney health. The palette of vibrant Teal and Aqua with bold Red and Navy is inspired by the shifting colours of the paua shell, a nod to the sea that links many of KHNZ’s audiences.
The new logo combines a kidney shape, the paua shell, and the koru spiral, representing growth and unity, integrated directly into the typography. Linear graphics inspired by weaving (Lalaga) create a sense of continuity, echoing the ongoing support KHNZ provides.
A separate Pasifika pattern incorporates meaningful motifs like the Manu Moana (seabird) and Niho Mano (shark teeth), making the identity culturally respectful and inclusive.
